Partner with Teens Impact Club

Teens Impact Club is an educational cum social development group, founded for the promotion of academic excellence and development of positive social values in teenagers.
We carried out a survey in secondary schools in Ogwashi-uku, Aniocha South, Delta State using questionnaires. This research was to ascertain the level of commitment of students to their academics, evaluate their values and social life. The report showed high level of indifference by students towards their academics, insufficient guidance as to career choices, poor management of peer influence and unsafe social life styles; such that is unbecoming of young persons and detrimental to their future and the society. In consideration of these issues and our concern to bring a change; we have established this group in order to promote academic excellence, instill right values, encourage proper career counseling and safe social lifestyles.
In furtherance of the aims and objectives of this club, already started in INSTITUTE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION, Ogwashi-Uku; we have commenced a debate tournament for secondary schools in Aniocha South LGA, starting from Ogwashi-uku. This will last from June to November 2018 and over twenty schools, shall be competing. While the students shall learn in the process and educate their audience; this competition will equally develop in these students; public speaking, writing, research, analytical and presentation skills amongst others. More so, owing to the enormous obligation on the teachers and parents in guiding these young ones; we shall organize a workshop for teachers and parents, where we shall invite reputable academia to speak to them on issues as it affects the teenagers.
Finally, to appreciate diligence and dedication, serve as a source of motivation and inspiration for excellence, we shall award best teachers and students in secondary schools in Aniocha South LGA, Delta state.
you can partner with us in the pursuit of this vision of moulding teenagers for positive impact in our society, as there is no better time to appropriately order their steps, than now that they are young.

The Debate Competition

THE FIRST TIC DEBATE @ ICE
The first debate competition held on the 6th of July 2018 at ICE, Ogwashi-uku. There was excitement in the air as the students warm up to play host to other schools coming for the debate competition. Comprehensive Secondary school proposed the motion that “School Uniform should be banned in Secondary Schools while De Last Adam Secondary School opposed it. Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) proposed the motion that  Mass/Social Media has more Negative than Positive Impact on Teens while DPPS High School opposed it. However, the absence of the DPPS High School and De last Adam Secondary School made it easier for the other competing school, although there was a DEBATE.

Beneficiaries of this Project

THE TEENAGERS

TEENS IMPACT CLUB is a platform that will bring the needed and relevant awareness to the doorsteps of these teens, in order to properly guide them in line with the vision, aims and objectives of this body as stated above. This will greatly reduce, indiscipline, moral vices amongst our teens, also unemployment, dissatisfaction and lack of fulfilment later in life. The rewards in the form of prizes that the students will receive during the debate competitions will boost morale of the teens to aspire for the best. Hence the teenagers are the first beneficiaries.

THE  PARENTS
The parents will breathe a sigh of relief as most parents are suffering from high blood pressure; as a result of the attitude of their teens. Hence, parents are the second beneficiary, since they will be glad to see their young ones change their conduct, accomplishing amazing things and attaining greatness.

THE SOCIETY
The third to benefit from the impact of this outreach is the society, since  they will not only enjoy the privilege of having conforming youths that are contributing their respective quotas to the society, but also will bring transformation and development that the society will benefit from.

THE GOVERNMENT
The pressure on Security, Reforming and Corrective institutions will be greatly reduced. This will engender economic transformation, since it will reduce financial burden inter alia on the government in fighting crimes, curbing indiscipline and vices amongst young people while driving them towards contributing their quota in the quest to attain National Development and Transformation.
